ANB Player Offered Reserve Trial with Olymique Marseille
The ANB Academy is pleased to announce that Jason Mills, a talented 19 yr. old striker with the Academy's Sr. Boys Program, has been offered a professional reserve trial with the French Ligue 1 professional team, L'Olympique de Marseille. While being identified by various professional clubs in the past, Jason was offered this professional trial based on his performance in the most recent ANB Academy's International ID Camp.
Most recently, Jason, a Richmond Hill resident, played Div. 1 soccer at IPFW, helping the team to its first Summit League tournament appearance and earning various individual awards during the season. Jason made a big impact for the Mastadon's as a Freshman, ending up with 4 goals and 6 assists on the year. He also scored a goal against Duke University in a pre-season exhibition game. Jason was honoured with a nomination on the 2nd team All-Conference, All-Newcomer team, and made the all Tournament Team for the conference finals with a goal and an assist. On June 9th & 10th, the ANB Futbol complex at CDS hosted 80 athletes from all over Canada, for 2 days of practical sessions, small sided games, coordination/speed testing & full sided games. The professionals' comments are below:
"Jason has been a member of the ANB Academy since its inception in 2005. He is a great athlete, and a gifted soccer player. We are very happy for Jason and we look forward to hearing about his future achievements," said Academy Director, Bassam Naim.
