Game Day Information
In order to make your game day experience more enjoyable, SAAC has prepared a handy checklist for coaches, players & parents.
- Before you head out for your games, be sure to check with the SAAC website for any last minute changes. The schedule on the website will always be the official schedule, and any emergency updates (i.e. field closures, traffic/weather warnings) will be publicized via our twitter account. The Twitter account is published at www.saac.ca (bottom of left column), or you can follow it at @AcademySoccerCa.
- Our private facilities (i.e. CDS, DOFASCO) do NOT allow pets on the grounds. If you plan on bringing a pet with you, please ensure they are permitted at the facility you are traveling to.
- Athletic Therapists are present at all SAAC facilities for competitions. Take a moment to locate them when you arrive, so you can contact them if any emergency arises during your game.
- Please review the information below regarding specific SAAC locations
The Country Day School - King City, Ontario
13415 Dufferin St, King City, ON
Directions: Google Maps
Parking is sometimes limited at this location, but please observe the NO PARKING areas. There are spaces available at the front of the school (including a lot just north of the main entrance off Dufferin). It may mean you have to walk a little, but it is not unreasonable.
Portable facilities are at 3 locations: at Field 1; outside the Bubble entrance; and next to the Convenor Portable. Under no circumstances should anyone be entering the school without authorization.
Convenors & Therapists:
Convenors will typically be located inside the portable at the rear of the grounds. Therapists will be based behind Field 2, but they will be moving between fields throughout the day.
There is a Tim Horton's on Dufferin St., about 1.5 km north of CDS and there are a number of lunch options on Yonge St. just north of King Road (about 4 km east of CDS)
York Central Hospital is located at 10 Trench St, Richmond Hill, ON (tel. (905) 883-1212). It is off Major Mackenzie Drive, just east of Bathurst Street (travel south on Dufferin St for about 9 km and turn left on Major Mackenzie Dr)
